Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced and innovative ROS (Robot Operating System) Engineer to join our robotics and automation team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience developing, deploying, and maintaining robotic applications using ROS and ROS 2. You will play a key role in designing intelligent robotic systems that integrate perception, control, and navigation to perform autonomous or semi-autonomous tasks efficiently.

As a ROS Engineer, you will collaborate closely with mechanical, electrical, and software teams to build robotic platforms capable of interacting with real-world environments. Your responsibilities will include integrating sensors, developing control algorithms, implementing SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping), and ensuring reliable robot behavior through simulation and real-world testing.

This role is perfect for someone passionate about robotics, embedded software, and intelligent automation. You will have the opportunity to contribute to projects across manufacturing automation, autonomous vehicles, service robots, and research-driven robotics applications — helping bridge the gap between mechanical systems and intelligent decision-making in Industry 4.0 environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain robotic software frameworks using ROS/ROS 2.

  • Integrate and calibrate hardware components including sensors (LiDAR, IMU, cameras) and actuators.

  • Develop algorithms for motion planning, navigation, and control systems.

  • Implement SLAM, path planning, and obstacle avoidance functionalities.

  • Create and manage ROS nodes, topics, services, and actions for modular system development.

  • Conduct simulations using Gazebo, RViz, or Webots for testing robotic behaviors.

  • Collaborate with embedded and perception teams to integrate vision, AI, and control modules.

  • Optimize real-time robot performance, latency, and communication efficiency.

  • Maintain detailed documentation of system architecture, interfaces, and deployment steps.

  • Stay updated with emerging ROS libraries, middleware, and open-source robotics frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Proven experience working with ROS (Robot Operating System) or ROS 2.

  • Strong proficiency in C++ and Python for robot software development.

  • Hands-on experience with Linux environments, Git, and shell scripting.

  • Familiarity with SLAM, localization, kinematics, control systems, and path planning algorithms.

  • Experience in simulation tools such as Gazebo, RViz, or Unity for robotics.

  • Knowledge of sensor integration (LiDAR, stereo cameras, IMUs, ultrasonic, etc.).

  • Understanding of robot hardware interfaces and embedded communication protocols (CAN, UART, I2C).

  • Experience with ROS middleware (DDS, TF, URDF, MoveIt, Nav2) and real-time communication.

  • Strong analytical, debugging, and system-integration skills.

  • Excellent teamwork, problem-solving, and documentation capabilities.
